18 5/8 x 14 in. albumen photograph on original mount, framed, 23 1/2 x 19 1/2 in. (rich tonality, even toning to print, unexamined outside frame). Penciled caption in lower margin of mount, "Executive Mansion, Washington, 1864." Walker's signature included lower right in the negative. A Civil War-period view of the White House, with a sentry standing guard.
